Hard Dollar Corporation Boosts Executive Management

Splitting Chairman and CEO Positions Allows Founder to Focus on Strategic Growth Initiatives

Tempe, AZ – July 10, 2002 Hard Dollar Corporation, the leading provider of integrated cost estimating software and project management systems for the infrastructure construction industry, today announced the appointment of Thomas D. Blondi as chief executive officer and president. As a key part of the company’s multi-stage growth plan, the addition enables previous CEO and company co-founder Grant Lungren to focus on strategic and technology vision related issues.

A confluence of three factors made the timing right for the long-planned move. First, the company is in the middle of a multi-year development process to create the third generation of its industry leading bidding and building software, for which Lungren serves as chief product architect. Second, the company’s Expert Services consulting business, which provides business planning, process and procedure development, and software implementation services to infrastructure contractors, has experienced robust growth, far outpacing original targets. Third, the company’s expansion internationally is accelerating, with strong interest driven by rising world-wide demand for high quality, feature-rich technology to support continued growth in infrastructure.

By conveying the CEO position to Blondi, Lungren will focus exclusively on these strategic areas, leveraging his thirty years of experience in infrastructure construction. Lungren will also continue his current role as chairman of the board for Hard Dollar Corporation.

Mr. Blondi brings more than 25 years of software industry experience to Hard Dollar. He has held several top-level executive positions with fast-growing information technology companies, most recently with Phoenix-based Cyclone Commerce, Inc. where he led the strategic marketing efforts for the past three years. He has written extensively and lectured professionally all over the globe on a variety of industry, sales, marketing and strategic management issues. He is the co-author of the 1996 book “The Information Technology Challenge – Surviving to the Year 2000”- a management guide for information technology companies.
