Half of ENR Top-Rated Environmental Firms Use Hard Dollar

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (BUSINESS WIRE) – Engineering News-Record (ENR), a McGraw-Hill publication, recently published a list of the Top 200 Environmental Contractors in the U.S. Hard Dollar, a leading provider of operations management software to owners and contractors, is pleased to announce that numerous customers appeared on the list, including half of the top 6 companies.

Hard Dollar customers on this year’s list include CH2M Hill, Veolia Environment, and Tetra Tech in the top 6. MACTEC, Brasfield & Gorrie, and many others also made the cut.

“We rely on the Hard Dollar software to streamline the estimating and bidding process for all of our environmental and renewable energy projects”, said Kevin Cramer, VP Estimating for Tetra Tech.” The system is ideal for our detailed, production-based estimating approach. One of the biggest benefits is the live integration with Microsoft Project and Primavera that allows us to easily run “what if?” scenarios across the estimate and schedule for multi-year projects, including the impact of escalation.”

Brad Barth, Hard Dollar Vice President, stated that “leading firms rely on Hard Dollar to rapidly respond to their customers in fast-track situations, such as clean-up work following natural disasters. The Hard Dollar system enables these customers to rapidly assess costs and risks on projects, using a library of resources and historic costs that allow turnaround of estimates and bids within hours. In addition to rapid response, Hard Dollar users also report that the accuracy and thoroughness of their estimates drives a confidence level in their customers that often results in projects being awarded without going through an extensive, competitive bidding process.”
