Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation

Job Summary:

Hard Dollar, a leading provider of Project Cost Management applications, is looking for a software quality assurance engineer who wants to work in a fast paced technology environment. The quality assurance engineer is responsible for working closely with the test team and development team to implement automated testing and test tools for client-server and web applications. This person must have experience with automated software test methodologies and automation software and tools.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with development and test engineers to understand automation opportunities and requirements.
• Author test framework and tests to implement maintainable feature, system and performance automation solutions.
• Oversee the execution of automation, analyze the results and publish the results.
• Participate in short term and long term planning for test automation efforts.
• Produce documentation for the automated test systems and test tools.
• Train team members on tools use and test automation/performance best practices.

Experience/Qualifications:

Job Requirements

• 5+ years test automation development experience, both functional automation and performance automation, using third-party products or “homegrown” tools. Significant experience with Ranorex tools is a plus.
• 5+ years experience with all stages of software quality assurance including black box testing, white box testing, performance, stress and load testing, requirements analysis, test planning, reporting/control and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of software development and software test practices. • Candidate must have implemented maintainable automated tests and test frameworks.
• 5+ years design/programming skills with Microsoft C# and at least one TSL (test script language)
• Experience configuring client and server hardware and deployment of operating systems.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible and have ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• Highly motivated individual with the ability to grasp complex software applications and learn quickly.
• Must have a demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Must be a non-smoker

Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
