IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NETWORK INSTALLATIONS: Follow the steps below to first perform the update on the network server. Then repeat on each client workstation.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR NETWORK INSTALLATIONS WITH TIMESHEET COLLECTORS: Follow the steps below to first perform the update on the network server. Launch Hard Dollar Client, and click Cancel to upgrade only the Library. On the database server, run Install Databases to upgrade the HDExecute database. Then, repeat the steps below on each client workstation to upgrade Hard Dollar Client.

1. While connected to the Internet, start Internet Explorer and go to www.harddollar.com.

2. From the main menu at top, choose Customer Area, and then choose Software Updates.

3. From the list of available downloads, choose "Hard Dollar Version 2008.2.1 FULL ." Type in the requested information, and click the Enter button.

4. Click on the "Download Hard Dollar Version 2008.2.1 FULL now" link.

5. Choose the option to save the program to disk. You can save the file on any drive in any folder (directory) already on your computer. However, it is a good idea to save it to a folder (directory) that is easily found, such as the Windows Desktop.

6. Close your browser when the download is finished.

7. Locate the downloaded file (200821.exe) and double-click its icon to open the file, and then click Unzip to unpack the installation program. By default, the installation program files will be extracted to C:\BIDBUILD Update\2008.2.1.

8. To run the installation program, navigate to C:\BIDBUILD Update\2008.2.1 and double click on Launch.exe.

9. Choose "Install Products", then follow the prompts to update each computer where Hard Dollar components are installed.
