Hard Dollar, www.harddollar.com, Tempe, Ariz., recently announced an extension of services, providing users with a unique project portfolio solution. Hard Dollar, which provides bidding and estimating solutions, is providing contractors with the ability to gain visibility into their entire project portfolio via realtime interaction of resources, cost, schedules, and cash flow.

Like many leading solutions on the market today, Hard Dollar is leveraging pervasive technology to create a more robust and flexible working environment for users. Microsoft SQL Server support, coupled with XML (extensible markup language) and Web services, present an open environment for data sharing. This allows users to incorporate the solution with other applications currently in use in the organization.

Its dashboarding capabilities are another appealing feature. Its open architecture allows users to access reports and dashboards specific to their tasks through a Web browser.

The product is currently in beta testing and Hard Dollar targets the summer for a release of this enterprise application. It is the latest example of technology providers leveraging open architecture technology to expand services and provide customers with a more integrated enterprise.
