Hard Dollar and Dexter + Chaney Announce New Partnership

Integration Efforts to Result in Streamlined Exchange of Data Between Industry Leading Estimating and Accounting Applications

TEMPE, AZ - March 16, 2005 - Hard Dollar Corporation, the construction industry's leading provider of integrated estimating and job control software, and Dexter + Chaney, the #1-ranked provider of accounting applications to contractors, today announced a new partnership to enhance the level of integration between the company's flagship software products. The two firms will be engaging in joint development efforts that will result in a heightened level of integration between Hard Dollar BID*BUILD® estimating and job control software and Dexter + Chaney's FOREFRONT® construction management software.

The main objective of the partnership is to streamline the recurrent exchange of common data that is used in both applications, including budgets, employee and equipment lists and rates, timesheets, subcontractor and vendor data, and more.

While various industry initiatives have been formed over the years with the objective of simplifying data exchange between disparate systems, none have emerged as universal standards, leaving contractors waiting for real solutions.

While the companies did not announce an expected timeframe for completion of the entire integration project, both firms expect results from the partnership to begin rolling out to customers as early as Summer 2005.
