Hard Dollar Adds Two New BID*BUILD Modules to Bolster End-to-End Software Solution for Estimating and Job Control

Change Management, Pay Requests & Approvals Modules Automate Time-Consuming Tasks to Make Contractors More Profitable

TEMPE, AZ - March 17, 2005 - Hard Dollar Corporation, the construction industry's leading provider of integrated estimating and job control software, today announced the addition of two new modules to its Hard Dollar BID*BUILD® software suite. The new modules - Change Management and Pay Requests & Approvals - round out Hard Dollar's comprehensive bidding and building solution by offering additional profit-capturing functionality to its customers.

The Change Management module automatically monitors the job for any changes that affect the job's cost or price, such as changes in scope (new items), or modifications to existing items . By automatically tracking these changes in a log, and calculating the before and after impact of each change on the job's cost and price, Hard Dollar BID*BUILD software users have the documentation they need to ensure payment for extra work performed, thereby boosting profits.

The Pay Requests & Approvals module makes it easy to provide accounting with the information required to invoice customers and pay subcontractors and suppliers accurately and timely. With this module, Hard Dollar BID*BUILD software users can automate what is often a manual, time-consuming process. The software enables users to define rules for calculating earned revenue on a pay item by pay item basis, based on the percent complete status of the specified activities that drive revenue. The new module also automates the task of tracking revenue earned from time and materials items, which are often used for change orders and extra work. In both cases, what previously could have been hours or days worth of calculations during every billing cycle can now be performed in minutes.
